The Director, Investor Relations provides analytical support to the Investor Relations team with regard to developing and maintaining Juniper’s relationships with various members of the investment community that have an interest in the company, including institutional portfolio managers, buy-side and sell-side equity analysts, and individual investors.

Working Relationships: This position reports to the VP, Investor Relations and operates with a high degree of independence in terms of managing workload and interacting with other departments. This position will interact with finance and accounting staff, as well as analytical, managerial and executive staff throughout the Juniper organization. The candidate must be equally comfortable in obtaining data from clerical staff and in effectively discussing complex financial issues with outside investment analysts and Juniper executives. External contacts will include institutional portfolio managers and buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts, individual stockholders, and other Investor Relations professionals.


  • Participate in the development and implementation of global investor relations strategies, the development of corporate policies and procedures and the detailed execution of the IR program.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships and act as a secondary contact and corporate spokesperson with capital markets, investment professionals, including portfolio managers, financial analysts and retail and institutional shareholders.
  • Present and explain the company’s businesses, including service offerings, market/customer dynamics, financial results and major business events to the financial and broker community, as well as potential individual and intuitional investors. 
  • Represent the company in its relationships with the investment community through trade shows, road shows, analyst site tours and financial analyst day.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation and distribution of investor materials including press releases, quarterly and annual reports, quarterly financial results releases, conference call scripts and Q&As, investor relations collateral materials and corporate presentations and other materials as needed.
  • Manage the production of investor presentations for the Annual Shareholders Meeting and Financial Analyst Day.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Public Relations to effectively communicate investor relations objectives and ensure consistent corporate messaging and branding of communications to the investment community.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, review professional publications, establish personal networks, benchmark state-of-the-art practices and participate in professional societies in order to be effectively responsive to analysts.
  • Ensure proactive timely resolution of investor concerns.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of national and international capital market trends and developments and identify opportunities to expand the company's image in the capital markets, private equity markets and debt markets.
  • Manage investor targeting programs, develop and maintain investor presentations, corporate fact sheets, internal and external briefing materials and IR website content to ensure all information is up to date and accurate in accordance with regulatory and exchange related reporting requirements
  • Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of competitor and peer group companies – presentations, financial reporting, disclosures, and websites and provide direction on trends, developments and information needs and related data for investment purposes.
  • Monitor corporate reporting trends and perform in-depth comparative analysis of the Company’s quarterly results to determine relationship of Juniper’s performance against general industry trends and develop reports and programs to educate the management team and Board.
  • Works with portfolio managers and market analysts in support of their financial analysis of the company and effectively communicate changes in the competitive landscape and overall industry/market trends to the VP of IR in a succinct and timely manner.
  • Review and maintain library of analyst reports and provide summary contents for management (IR Daily).
  • Monitors securities law and stock exchange regulations to ensure compliance.

Desired Skills, Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience, preferably in the Telecom, Technology industry
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Experience in reviewing and interpreting financial statements
  • Superior written communication and oral presentation skills
  • High proficiency with PowerPoint or other presentation software
  • Creative, outgoing and intuitive personality with the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • BS in engineering or accounting/finance/business administration or another related field
  • MBA with an emphasis in finance is preferred
