2017 Mid Season President's Letter

January 20, 2017

Dear Fellow NIRISV Members,

As we kick off the second half of the NIRI SV programming year, I am excited to announce the launch of our new website! In partnership with Q4 Systems, we have created a new online experience for our members to learn more about the chapter, stay current on news & events, register for programming, and connect more with other members through a re-launched mentoring program.  Please visit the new NIRISV.org on your computer, phone or tablet and tell us what you think.
The first half of our season has been a great success as members have turned out to network and explore important topics such as an update on regulations, innovative ways to effectively communicate your company story, and the myriad market dynamics impacting a company's daily stock price.  We also raised a record $3,535 for local area food banks through the charity auction at our Holiday Party hosted at Autovino!
The highlight of the second half will be our award-winning, annual Spring Seminar on March 10th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto.  In a day full of speakers, panels, and networking, we will host exciting content including “Threats to Your Existence”, expert views on the markets post-inauguration and potential impacts of a new administration, the path to the c-suite from the IRO seat, a debate with all three listing exchanges, a surprise keynote speaker, and more.  Please join us!  Registration will open soon at NIRISV.org.
The second half will also feature luncheons on topics including a teach-in on technical trading, a discussion on how to maximize your IR budget, a session on the current state of Europe, and of course, the annual Golf Scramble, Annual Meeting, and Member Appreciation Event.
The new website, the seminar, the app, the content lunches, and indeed, the chapter, are your resources.  Our strength comes from your engagement.  Tell us what you think, what you like, what you don’t and what we can do better.  We want to know!
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the events!
